カルテット

『カルテット! 人生のオペラハウス』(Quartet)は、2012年のイギリスのコメディ・ドラマ映画です。

以下が概要。

セシリー、レジー、ウィルフレッドの3人は、引退した音楽家のための施設にいる。毎年10月10日にヴェルディの誕生日を祝うコンサートがあり、彼らはそれに参加する。そこに、かつてレジーと結婚していたジーンがやってきて、彼らの均衡を乱す。彼女は相変わらず歌姫のように振る舞うが、歌うことは拒否する。それでもショーは続けられなければならない。

老人ホームの高齢者がメインで一人スコットランドアクセントのウィルフレッドを除いては聞きやすい部類に入るはずなのですが、当方オペラはカルメンしか聞いたことがない素人、固有名詞についていけないことが多々ありました。かといって個人的にオペラに興味があるという訳でもなく残念ですが、今回は消化不良です。
