『ジェイン・オースティン 秘められた恋』（原題: Becoming Jane）は、2007年のイギリス映画。
英語に関しては難解な地方アクセントは皆無なのですが、高慢と偏見と同じ路線で、高い語彙力とところどころ ジェイン・オースティン の難解な 表現力を理解する体力が必要とされる映画で視聴後はかなり疲れました。
アン・ハサウェイがジェイン役でしたが、目が大きいのか顔が小さいのか両方なのか、若いころのジュリアロバーツみたいですね。ところどころアメリカンアクセントがうっかり出ていたところが笑えました。

以下、概要です。
時は1795年、20歳の若きジェーン・オースティンは、すでに階級や商業を超えた世界、プライドや偏見を超えた世界を見ており、当時はほとんど考えられなかったこと、つまり愛のために結婚することを夢見ていた。当然、両親は娘の将来の社会的地位を保証するために、裕福で設備の整った夫を探している。両親は、地元貴族の大富豪レディ・グレシャムの甥であるミスター・ワイズリーに結婚相手として目をつける。しかし、ジェーンが悪戯好きで明らかに非貴族的なトム・ルフロイに出会うと、鋭い応酬とともに火花が散る。彼の知性と傲慢さはジェーンの怒りを買い、やがて彼女を打ちのめす。その後、時代の感覚や感性に反して恋をはぐくむこのカップルは、恐ろしいジレンマに直面する。結婚しようとすれば、家族、友人、財産など、大切なものすべてを危険にさらすことになる。
