『博士と彼女のセオリー』（原題：The Theory of Everything）は、2014年にイギリスで製作された伝記映画で、理論物理学者のスティーヴン・ホーキング博士と彼の元妻であるジェーン・ホーキング（Jane Wilde Hawking）の関係を描き出している。

私は子供の時から宇宙の神秘について関心があるので彼のベストセラーA Brief History of Timeを遠い昔に読んでみました。ウィキによると１９８８年に出版されてから20年間で1,000万部以上の売り上げを記録したとのことで世界中の人が感心したはずですよね。私を除いて。なにしろ数ページ読み進めたところで、ついていけずギブアップ。というわけで私にとって因縁のスティーヴン・ホーキングの話。視聴前はかなりの覚悟とともに構えました。がまたまた期待を裏切られました。というのも難解な物理の法則はほとんど出てこないからです。今回スティーヴン・ホーキング博士を演じたエディ・レッドメインの圧巻の演技に脱帽。次第に体の自由がきかなくなる筋萎縮性側索硬化症（ALS）に侵されていく過程が涙なしには観られません。
